Mark Ronson for Gucci

Mark Ronson has launched a footwear line for Gucci and he was at its launch party on Wednesday night with the Carnaby Gucci pop up store which opened yesterday. Mark Ronson is one of the best dressed males around so I thought his collection would be interesting and better than most celeb/designer collaborations. There is a totally different vibe from this line compared to Kanye West's for Louis Vuittion. West's sneakers were chunkier, more showy and used brighter colours.


Gucci Ronsons have 15 male styles and 2 female.

The shoes are cute, simple and subtly fashionable but I'm not sure they warrant their 'up to £340' price tag. They've tried to soften the blow by giving away a free vinyl with exclusive Mark Ronson tracks on it with each pair sold and having tags attached which can be personally embossed. The sneakers are nothing groundbreaking but they seem to be a new essential for any fashion-conscious male musician who wants a bit of Mark's understated coolness.
