Next stop was H&M and their sale. It was rather unforunate that I basically wanted to buy the whole store... I am loving their Spring Summer!

This dress I really wanted. It was £15 in the sale but I put it back :-(. Couldn't afford it.

So many flower head bands made me really wanna put flowers in my hair and I will over the summer.

Then, because we were in the South Kensington/Knightsbridge area, we went to Harrods to swoon over beautiful shoes and dresses we couldn't afford.

A Herve Ledger which I loved even more than the gold one I view regularly on net-a-porter. So perfect for spring with unexpected edge.

This dress would have been my Grecians ball dress had money been no object... and if my ball was this year. I had wanted a gold dress but settled for metallic grey.

The real McCoy. Chanel Clogs. It was like viewing the original art which had been poorly imitated.

Day out with Akua 1

Friday was 'Catch up with Akua' day so we decided to be cultural and hit the V&A. The Grace Kelly exhibition wasn't open until the next day and the line for the Quilts exhibition was so long so we just wandered around.

A photograph from my first visit to the V&A photography space. This was our favourite piece. It's by Maud Sulter and is called Terpsichore (Delta Streete) 1989. The photograph is of the performance artist Delta and this representation of contemporary black women questions the idea of 'national heritage'- she is a product of empire.

Assisting at my first ever shoots!!!

On April 13th I was the 2nd fashion assistant for the amazing Jade and we did two shoots at her flat. The story of the first shoot  was two girls going away on a summer holiday. The models were Emerald and Leana. The photographer was Ben. The shoot was so much fun and relaxed. Lauren and I sorted out all the clothing from the PRs and ironed/pinned/stuck them so that they looked perfect one each girl. Jade kept us well fed and we made different photo sets around the flat.

An amazing day with amazing people! I learnt soo much and spent the day after running around London with a massive suitcase doing the returns. All part of the job :-)

Found this amazing Pierre Cardin bag to replace my broken Urban Outfitters one at Absolute Vintage near Brick lane this week. It's too shiny for its own good.
